Camping and Outback Experience

This gay personalised guided tour to the Outback is one great adventure:

Head out West past World Heritage Rainforest areas into vast cattle stations and experience the Outback from a real hands on wilderness perspective, camp overnight by a clear mountain river, marvel at the myriads of night stars and enjoy dining "bush style"- cooked in a traditional camp oven.

Because of this tour is designed around just a maximum of 4 gay guys, we have been able to gain permits to visit spots not available to the larger tour companies, and with our off-road 4WD you can view the Outback from a perspective few get to see.

Pick-up from your accommodation 8.00am to 8.30am
Travel up the coast past Port Douglas and over the mountains for morning tea.
Stop for last minute essentials at Mt Carbine Roadhouse
Continue through typical Aussie bush to our camp site in a secluded spot by the Mcleod River, on Brooklyn Station .. a 260,000 acre station now owned by the Australian Wildlife Conservation Foundation..
Enjoy a light lunch by the River while the tents and camp site are prepared.
Relax after lunch for a skinny dip,explore the rough terrain by foot ,bird watch, or a just have a nap!
Take an early evening drive to Bob's Lookout and then watch the spectacular sunset and collect fire wood
Enjoy evening savouries whilst your dinner is prepared on the open camp fire.
Dine on a "pot roast" and fresh vegies ...other dietary requirements can be catered for!
Sip coffee by the camp-fire and enjoy the myriads of outback stars after dinner.
Retire to your tent by the creek and let the gurgling stream send you to sleep.
Arise with day-break to explore the native birds and animals coming down to drink
cruise through a hot Aussie breakfast cooked on the coals.
A nature walk after breakfast and then pack-up camp, followed by an early lunch and drive home via a Barramundi Farm
Transfer back to your accommodation

As Brooklyn Station is owned and operated by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy all native animals are strictlly protected so you may not take anything from the area except photos and memories. The Station runs from the Wet Tropics rainforest to the Mitchell River floodplain and is home to over 40% of all Australia’s bird species have been recorded within Brooklyn, as well as 30% of all mammals and 20% of all frogs..
